On the day after the end of the July 8th exam, our physics camp set off from the high-speed rail station and arrived in Hangzhou after 8 hours, starting our 18-day trip in Hangzhou.
Departure#
At around 3 pm on July 9th, we successfully boarded the high-speed rail and started the 8-hour journey (including a 50-minute transfer). Along the way, there were nice scenery, listening to podcasts, reading e-books, and the eight hours flew by (ps: everyone must observe, such as not delaying the conversion of seats, otherwise you will end up like me: P)
Finally, at around 11 pm, we finally arrived in Hangzhou, took the training institution's special car, and arrived at Hangzhou Normal University Cangqian Campus at around 11:50 (referred to as Hangzhou Normal University below)
Time at Hangzhou Normal University#
The time at Hangzhou Normal University was a combination of busyness and relaxation, but it was indeed a very beautiful time.
Teaching#
When talking about Hangzhou Normal University, of course, it starts with the teaching of this training.
There were three professors (Cui Hongbin, Lv Junli, Ye Bangjiao) who came for this teaching. The teaching level of these three professors goes without saying, there is nothing to complain about, and I also gained a lot of new knowledge and skills from them.
However, what is worth complaining about is the teaching assistants (the teachers who reviewed the papers every day), especially the papers and questions given by Xiong Xiaoyu, which were really "refreshing".
Although I was brutally tortured by the top students in several exams, it wasn't too bad for me, and I learned a lot of new things.
Beautiful Scenery#
As the main campus of Hangzhou Normal University, Cangqian Campus has a strong academic strength and a beautiful environment. The campus is shaded by trees and flowers, and is known as one of the "most beautiful university campuses in Hangzhou".
My favorite place on campus is the lotus pond, I love the lotus that grows out of the mud without being stained.
There are many other beautiful spots on campus, I recommend riding a bike to enjoy them one by one (I rode a bike for two hours at 5 o'clock one day)

Food, Drink, Accommodation, and Transportation#
We stayed in Building 6 of Shuyuan, which was acceptable for a price of 90 yuan per day (complaining about the dust on the clothesline).
For meals, we usually went to the third canteen (after all, I'm not used to the taste of the ethnic restaurant in the first canteen).
At first, we relied on meal tickets, but later we started using Alipay (complaining about the 20% service fee charged by Alipay).
There are also supermarkets, Migu Bingcheng, KFC, and other shops on campus (but unfortunately, I am a McDonald's enthusiast).
The most convenient means of transportation on campus is probably bicycles, I highly recommend riding them, just be careful not to ride too fast, otherwise you might get injured like hax.
Entertainment Activities#
Although we were quite busy at Hangzhou Normal University, the schedule arranged by the training institution was still compact (nine hours of classes every day). But in this busy schedule, we still found some time to relax (slack off).
Under hax's "encouragement", we "almost" achieved the goal of having a cup of milk tea every two days, and I have to say that Guming is great!
There is also the university library, Hangzhou Normal University's library is quite good, especially the mathematics and physics methods, which are my favorites.
Highlights#
During the days at Hangzhou Normal University, we had a great time every day. Teacher Mu even brought us watermelon, and Teacher Zhao bought us milk tea. We got along very well with our classmates, especially hax, who successfully helped me overcome my "fear of girls" (u1s1 people are really nice, but also need to exercise and take care of their health).
The most ridiculous thing during my time at Hangzhou Normal University was that I went to the clinic twice.
- hax had heatstroke and I went to buy medicine but ended up being taken to the emergency room.
- hax injured her foot and I became a porter (helping to carry her backpack).

Trip to West Lake#
In the afternoon of the 25th, after the training ended, we took a bus to West Lake and started this challenging journey.
In the evening, we had dinner at a nearby Hangzhou cuisine restaurant (complaining that Hangzhou is really a food desert), and then went to Wulin Night Market (I have to say that it was really crowded and not suitable for someone like me who has social anxiety). Then we went for a walk around West Lake, there were a lot of people at West Lake, and the shops in the scenic area were quite expensive. Unfortunately, we missed the boat ride, so we walked for more than two hours until around 10:30 pm, and our step count reached nearly 20,000 steps. The night view of West Lake was also nice, but my photography skills are not great, so I can only share a few not-so-good photos.
Back at the hotel, after taking a shower, we went to have some desserts (hax's choice, since she said her legs were tired and she could only sit and eat desserts).
On the second day, we had breakfast with Shanghai snacks (I have to say that Shanghai breakfast is great, only my hometown Guangdong can compare).
But when I asked hax, she was already exhausted and Ma Zong was also feeling dizzy, so we didn't plan to go out (the original plan was to play cards in the dormitory). However, my roommate hly insisted on going out, so I "had to" go out with her. We walked all the way, enjoying the scenery along the way, with willow trees and many birds. I have to admit that Hangzhou's greenery is really well done.
We walked all the way to Leifeng Pagoda and even helped an old man buy a ticket. We climbed to the top of the tower and enjoyed the magnificent view of West Lake. (ps: everyone must manage their time well, don't rush back to the hotel like us to check out)
Return Journey#
After lunch, we took the subway for an hour to Xiaoshan International Airport, and at around 6 pm, we boarded the plane and left Hangzhou (the sunset seen from the plane was really beautiful!)
Highlights#
This trip to Hangzhou was truly a wonderful journey. In addition to the knowledge learned and the beautiful scenery seen, what's more important is the friendship we built with our classmates (eg. I thought I upset hax with my excessive preparation for the physics competition [here I apologize to her], but after this trip, it seems that we have become good friends again [at least for me]). We also made connections with many students from other schools (especially the new first-year students from various high schools, I wish them success in their first year and achieve the results they desire)
Finally, I wish everyone in the physics camp a happy learning experience (which is the most important), and I hope you achieve the results you desire in the finals!
